We are delighted that, for the fifth consecutive year, our school has been awarded with an Educate Award in the category of ‘Outstanding Arts in a Primary School’. It was awarded following our whole school production ‘National Treasures’ which the judges described as follows in the 2016 Educate Awards’ programme:
Devised and developed by the children, Netherton Moss’s whole school arts performance explored the topic of Great Britons with the creative students coming up with a fantastic concept whereby they would ‘travel through time’ meeting some of the country’s national treasures. A brilliant idea that combines history with creativity, the production encouraged students to research key figures from history from the Suffragettes to the Beatles and saw the whole school come together to design sets, write scripts and put on a performance to be proud of. ‘National Treasures’ was a prized performance involving and engaging all the children.
Well done everyone, we are so proud!
