We are delighted to have been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark for the 5th consecutive time! We have attached the report for you to read and enjoy. The award is the result of hard work and co-operation between parents, children, staff and Governors, so a big ‘Well Done!’ to everyone!
It was particularly rewarding to read…
…the school has made very good progress in the further development of the basic skills and progress and attainment have improved. Overall, progress at Key Stage 2 is very good and above the national average. Reading is above the national average at L4+ and well above at L5+ and this aspect is a significant strength of the school. Reading in Key Stage 2 builds on the good start made in Key Stage 1 and over half the pupils make 3 or more levels of progress. This reflects the hard work and commitment of the staff who work tirelessly to raise attainment and equip pupils with the necessary skills for their continued development.
