Jazz class had a fabulous time at Speke Hall on Friday 1st April (no joke!) Speke Hall is a wooden constructed Tudor house build by the Norris family set in beautiful gardens. We split into two groups and were lead around the house, visiting the Great Hall, where we learned a Tudor Dance, the courtyard where we met Adam and Eve – the two Yew Trees, and wandered up stairs to find the Priest Hole. The Norris family were devoted Catholics and had to hide their priest from the authorities.
We have been studying the Tudors all this term and have made some wonderful models, paintings, houses, drama and our own animations! So this trip was a great end to all that hard work.
We finished off with a walk around the gardens, a play in the play area and, of course, a trip to the shop!!
